DeployHelper
Takes the manual work out of shipping apps to servers: set up once, then deploy with a click.
What we made
- Deployment pipeline automation
- Server provisioning
- Environment & secrets management
- Logs and status dashboard
Stack
The story behind DeployHelper.
Why we built it
Every project we ship has to go live on a server. Doing that by hand (setting up the machine, configuring the environment, wiring up deploys and checking logs) is slow and easy to get wrong. DeployHelper started as our own tool to make that part boring.
How it works
You connect a server once. DeployHelper provisions it, keeps environment variables and secrets in one safe place, and turns each deploy into a single click. It brings the ‘push and it’s live’ experience of hosted platforms to a VPS you own.
Watching it run
A dashboard shows the status of every app, live logs and server metrics, so when something breaks you see it and fix it without opening a terminal.
Where it’s going
It already runs our own deployments and is in final testing. We’re preparing it for other teams as a SaaS product. It’s built with Node.js and Docker on Linux.
